Language Biography… Name: CLASS 5B Age: 11-12 Town: Sredneural’sk We have already been learning English for 4 years. We try to learn it not only at school, but after lessons too. As for us, the most difficult parts of English are grammar and sometimes pronunciation, intonation and listening. While studying English we learn to listen to a lot of stories and we enrich our vocabulary.

The theme of our project is :“English in our life”. English in our life The aim of our work is: to find out what role the English language plays in teenager’s life.English in our life ENGLISH IN OUR LIFEThe actuality: in the 21st century English has taken a position of the world language. In the 21st century English has taken the positions of the world language: At first, 750 million people all over the world use it. Second, English has become the language of the planet. Third, it’s the first truly global language and the main language of business, sports, science. Above all, English is one of the richest languages. Besides, there are many borrowings from English in other languages including Russian. Moreover, three quarters of the world’s mail is written in English. And finally, English is the world's computer language.
ENGLISH IN OUR LIFEThe tasks: to analyze and systemize the work at our English lessonsto interview pupilsto summarize and describe the resultsto pay attention to the need of using a method of projectsto make a wall newspaper, to form a folder, to create a film English in our lifeThe methods: a searching method ; a descriptive method ; the method of a statistical analysis of the results. the method of systematization and classification; a synthesis and analytical method. ENGLISH IN OUR LIFEThe plan of our work: the organizational and preparatory phase the creative stagethe final stage First, we have prepared a questionnaire which included 7 questions. Then we have interviewed our classmates. After that, we have summed up the answers and made a presentation.We have interviewed 13 pupils. Language learning has become more popular and gives more possibilities in life nowadays . Also one of our dreams is to go to English-speaking countries and to talk with foreigners there. And we love English despite the fact we have got some difficulties. And we are proud we have such possibility as learning English.

The Portrait of a Learner of EnglishA pupil who learns English in our class has been doing it for 4. He learnsit because he wants to use English in his future job and his parents want him to do it. An average pupil learning English in our class thinks it is possible to learn English at school and at home and the most effective methods of learning English are reading and translating texts and having vocabulary drills. The English language is difficult to learn for pupils. The most difficult part of learning English is intonation. But in general the pupils think they know English well. Thanks for your attention!
