Личностно-деятельностный характер урока обеспечивает формирование универсальных учебных действий обучающихся:
Личностные – получит возможность научиться проявлять познавательную инициативу в решении поставленной задачи.
Познавательные – ученик построит развернутый ответ на поставленный вопрос в устной форме по предложенному плану в виде кластера, научиться прогнозировать содержание текста по предложенной лексике, проявит умение критически мыслить, получит возможность показать свои знания в области географии и истории.
Коммуникативные – отвечая на поставленный вопрос, поучаствует в коллективном обсуждении при проверке задания.
Регулятивные – научится решать учебную задачу, поставленную перед ним, на основе того, что он уже знает и то, что еще ему неизвестно, получит возможность провести самоанализ после выполнения задания.
Оборудование и средства: персональный компьютер, проекционное оборудование, раздаточные материалы и словари.

2. Getting new knowledge ( in Geography and History)
If the students have problems with this task, the teacher helps them. The teacher reads the test loudly and the students pick up their pens or pencils and write down the correct option making so called a plan for their answer to the question “What do you know about Nepal?” Any student can work at the greenboard.

3. Speaking On basis of cluster, the students talk about Nepal.

4. Reading
Thank you for your job. Before reading travelers’ diary, I hand out a list of words with their definitions, because some words are for you new. You must tick the words, which are linked, in your opinion, with the text. (Appendix 2)
After the students read the text, they give the answer to the question “Who are these travelers?”

Nepal is a landlocked country located in Asia continent. In north it borders China and on others it borders India. It is a mountainous country mostly and plain on the southern side. The capital city is Kathmandu which is mix of urban and traditional. 8 of the tallest mountains in the world are located in Nepal including the tallest one which is Mt. Everest. Gautam Buddha who founded Buddhism was born in Nepal as well. Tourists come from all over the world for visiting this beautiful country mostly for an adventurous visits like trekking and bungee jumping. I live in Eastern part of country in a town called Itahari. It is small country compared to others but it is a beautiful country and if you are looking to visit it, go for it.
Nepal never colonised. It is one of the few asian coutries that never colonised. The British East India Company was trying to colonise it but they could not beat Nepalese soldiers however Nepal lost their 50% land in a treaty called Sugauli Treaty.
One of the main foods eaten in Nepal is Dal Bhat Tarkari - Dal is a sort of lentil soup, Bhat is Rice and Tarkari is a cooked vegetables. It is traditionally eaten with the right hand. Other foods include Momos (similar to Chinese dumplings) and special foods at festival times. People also eat "gundruk" (dried spinach).
