Тема урока: Обобщающий урок по теме «Масс-медиа»
Задачи урока:
- обобщить и закрепить знания по теме «Средства массовой информации»
- тренировать навык аудирования
- тренировать навык устной речи до уровня СФЕ
- закрепить умения групповой работы
Средства обучения: ПК, мультимедиа проектор, раздаточный материал: личные карточки ученика, британская газета «The Guardian», конверты с иллюстрациями, клей, ножницы.
Ход урока.
I. Приветствие. Oрг. момент (2 мин)
Good day, boys and girls! Dear guests! Welcome to our lessons!
Today we will have an unusual lesson. Let’s greet our guests first of all. Ответ - Good afternoon. How are you?
Today we are going to speak about the question that was given to us at the beginning of the term. Who can tell me the topic and the question? (слайд №1) Ответ - Mass-media: good or bad?
That’s the question you are going to answer at the end of the lesson.
First, you’ve got your own personal student’s cards at your desks. Please, write down your names and surnames in them. You will check these cards yourselves, changing them with your partner. You should tick the correct answers, then sum up the right answers and score your results. Your mark for the lesson will depend on your score.
So, now we are ready to start! Let’s do it right now!
II. Вводная беседа (5 мин)
– What is the media? Complete the sentence «Different means of communicating with large number of people are traditionally called Ответ - media.
- What are they?
Ответ - Mass media are considered to be the fourth branch of power because they influence the society and all the three branches of power. Mass media give us all kinds of information. What mass media are the most important?
How many kinds of Mass media do you know?

I think the Internet is a really useful thing. Nowadays we even can’t imagine our life without it. The Internet has become mass media number one for many people.
Firstly, with the help of the Internet people can find a lot of useful and important information. Secondly, the can communicate with each other using the Internet. Besides, we made new friends, study foreign languages and play games. Moreover, the Internet helps us to do our homework especially on such subjects as Literature, History, Geography and others.
But on the other hand, the Internet takes too much time. People don’t have time for reading, sport, their relatives and friends. Besides, the Internet is very dangerous for people’s health. If a person spends too much time using a computer, he can spoil his eyes.
So, we can make a conclusion, that the Internet is very important mass media. But it has some disadvantages. That’s why we should use it properly.

Учащиеся делают обзор газеты, используя опорные фразы: The title of the newspaper is … The newspaper consists of … The first page is devoted to … On the… page we can read interesting information about… The … page contains… The last page reports/has… I like /don’t like this newspaper because…

My favourite type of mass media is TV. It broadcasts a lot of interesting programmes, films and cartoons. I like watching educational, sports and musical programmes. My favourite genres of films are comedies, action films and thrillers. From TV I can get much information about important events in our country and abroad. I can also travel round the world without spending money and take part in shows and competitions. Besides, I can study foreign languages with the help of television.
