Exercise 2. Translate the dialogue. (Переведите диалог).I’ve recently heard the term “overnight train”. What does it mean?

Tickets, please!
Last year Robert and Nancy went to spend three weeks with their uncle Charles and aunt Emily. They live in Beechwood. There several fast trains that stop in Beechwood and you can get there in about two hours. So the children could travel alone. At the railway station their father bought two return tickets and the children went to the platform.“Beechwood is the third stop”, said the ticket-collector when they showed their tickets to him.“Don’t forget this, Robert, and don’t lose the tickets”, said the father.They had their seats by the window. Soon the train started and their trip began. On the train Robert read an interesting book and Nancy looked out of the window. It was a wonderful trip, but soon they were tired and fell asleep.“ Tickets, please!” said the ticket-collector.Robert opened his eyes.“Tickets, please!”“Tickets?” Robert began to look for them in his pockets, but he couldn’t find them. The ticket-collector was angry. At that moment the train stopped. A voice outside shouted:“ Beechwood, Beechwood. One minute stop! Beechwood already!”“Oh, we must get off here!”Robert jumped out, his book fell to the floor – and the two tickets fell out of it.“Silly children,” said the ticket collector. But Robert and Nancy had no time to listen. They took their tickets and ran out. Their aunt and uncle were on the platform. All’s well that ends well. They had a nice holiday, and Robert never again in his life forgot to put his ticket into his pocket.

The majority of tourists stay at hotels. It is better to reserve a room in advance and have a confirmation. When we stay at a hotel we fill in the forms and take the key to our room. We are offered a single room or a double one. Then we are given the information regarding the check-out time and the price per night. We have the opportunity to leave our valuables in the hotel safe. When some appliances in our room are out of order we ask a floor manager to help us. The best hotels are very comfortable and cosy. To tell the truth many people can’t afford staying at the hotel as the services are very expensive.
