During our work at the topic we have used following methods of study :

the method of analysis and comparison.
School uniforms in different countries.
Definition of the word «school uniform».
A school uniform is a standard set of clothing people wear when they go to school. It might have a special color of trousers or skirt , plus a matching shirt or a jacket with matching shoes.
The task of school uniform is to hide a social difference between students and save the money needed to buy extra clothes.
History of school uniform .
The English school uniform appeared in the 17 century. It was only in dark blue color , because they said that this color was leading to pupil’s humility. But these uniforms were not to be worn by elite students, they were to distinguish the poor children attending charity schools from other children. Only 300 years later the students of best English public schools began to wear uniforms.
In Russia the school uniform appeared in 1834 . This uniform was worn only by boys. In 1896a from for girl was created. The school uniform in Australia appeared in 1920 as short pants and peaked caps for boys. Canadian pupils wore uniform similar to British uniforms and appeared in 1883. Many former British colonies adopted English school uniform as e.g. Australia , South Africa and New Zealand .
2.3. School uniform in Britain, the USA , Australia , Canada and Russia .
I was interested to know about modern school uniform in Great Britain. If we have a look at the uniform in Oxford , we can see that English boys a usually wear a set of dark blue trousers and jacket , a matching tie and an original pin of Oxford. A lot of private schools in Britain have go their own distinctive sights .
Most American schools have dress code. Often parents and students participate in setting the code . In Australia pupils have a compulsory uniform policy. The boys wear shorts and T-shirts in blue or grey color. Girls usually wear blue or grey skirts with a matching shirts.
Most public school in Canada don’t have a school uniform , only some traditional or religious schools.
Russia has a rich history of school uniform . Before and after World War II the boys wore grey suits, a white shirt and pioneer ties. Girls wore uniform Brown dress. In 70-ies Soviet schoolchildren wore dark blue suits and Brown dresses with black or white apron. Now schools will determine the form for students. For example in our school boys wear grey trousers and jackets and bright shirts and girls grey sundresses and light colored blouses.
2.4. Modern pupil ‘s attitude towards school uniform
I was very interested to know if the students of gymnasium No. 3 their uniform like and I conducted a questionnaire survey among the pupils of my class. Results you can see in this chart.
57% of students like their uniforms. 35% of students do not like form. 7% are indifferent.
The next question of the survey was about the form that you would like to wear. Results you can see on the slides. Most students want to wear comfortable shoes such as sneakers constantly. Some want to wear uniform, some ceremonial clothing. Taking into account their desires, I tried to draw the shape of their dreams.
Conclusion.
In conclusion I would like to say that:
In this study, we found that the first school uniform was adopted in English charity schools in the 17 century and that is the British form was taken over by other English-speaking countries.
In Russia school uniforms appeared only at the end of the 19 century, and became widespread after World War II in the 20 century. At that time the form was completely not similar to the British version.
The survey of pupils in gymnasium № 3 revealed that most students like modern uniforms, but a lot of them want to make it more comfortable.
From our point of view, it would be better to make school uniforms more comfortable, especially in terms of shoes. For example in America, students wear a school uniform and comfortable shoes or sneakers.
At the end of my report, I would like to add that I like to wear a uniform. I think when we dress uniforms, then we will organize on our subjects in school and we achieve great success.
