План-конспект урока английского языка «Travelling»
Цели урока:
 а) развитие ключевых компетентностей обучающихся: познавательной, коммуникативной и социальной;
б) развитие мотивации к дальнейшему овладению иностранным языком;
в) повышение интереса обучающихся к изучению иностранного языка через применение ИКТ
Задачи урока:
 1.Образовательные: активизировать ранее изученные лексические единицы по теме, развивать навыки устной (монологической) речи с использованием опорного конспекта, диалогической речи, навыки письменной речи (заполнение анкеты), практиковать в выполнении заданий по чтению.
2.Развивающие: развивать речемыслительную деятельность обучающихся, формировать навыки межличностного общения.
3.Воспитательные: поддерживать интерес к изучению английского языка, воспитывать уважение, понимание и толерантность к другой культуре, обучать сотрудничеству и работе в группах. 
Социо-культурный компонент: использовать приобретённые знания и умения в практической деятельности и повседневной жизни: а) для социальной адаптации; б) для достижения взаимопонимания в процессе устного и письменного общения с носителями иностранного языка.
Оборудование: карточки, презентация
Тип урока: урок развития знаний, умений и навыков с применением ИКТ.

Ход урока:
Организационный момент. Приветствие.
 
Teacher to Class: Good morning! Glad to see you. Sit down, please.

T: - Do you know the topic of our lesson? Guess, what we are going to talk about. People like to do it. They usually do it in summer.They take a lot of luggage with them. A lot of people do it all over the world. Listen to the poem:

2. Практика в чтении.
Teacher: We’re going to read the texts. Guess the method of traveling. (обучающиеся читают тексты на карточках - по одной карточке с текстом на парте - и отгадывают способ передвижения)

It is the quickest way of traveling. It can take you from one town or city to another in no time. The seats are comfortable. That’s a pity, but you can see very little from the windows. Things are too small to be seen. When the weather is rainy or foggy, you can’t travel by it. (By plane)

This way of traveling is quick. You can stop at any place you like and go where you like. You need no tickets. Usually families travel by it. (By car)

This is the slowest way of traveling. Both young and old people like it. You needn’t tickets. The only thing you need is a rucksack. You can visit many places in such a way. (On foot)

This way of traveling is quick. It is very pleasant to travel in this way. The seats are comfortable. You can see a lot of interesting things from the windows. You can make long journeys on land by it.If you are hungry you can have a meal in a dining-car. (By train)

This way of traveling is not so fast. Some people enjoy traveling by it .But others don’t like it at all. Usually people travel in this way in summer, when they are on holidays. You can see waves and sea-gulls. (By ship)

This way of traveling is one of the cheapest means of travelling. Some people enjoy traveling by it. You have comfortable seats and video. But it is not the fastest way of travelling. You can have a trip not far from your home. (By bus)

This is the slowest and the cheapest way of travelling. You needn’t tickets. The only thing you need is a bicycle. You can visit many places in such a way. It is very useful for our health. (By bike)
Teacher: I see, you know the methods of travelling.
Teacher: As for me, I like to travel. I can do it by train, by car, by plane. It’s interesting to have a voyage by sea. It’s beautiful to stay at the hotel at the seaside.

 Teacher:
 Now you will work in groups. Each group will choose and speak about one way of travelling. Your time is 3-5 minutes. The 1st group will speak about travelling by air. The 2d group will speak about travelling by sea. The 3d group - about travelling by land. You may use these words and word combinations. Then one of you will speak on the topic T: Thank you. Your stories were interesting.
4.Практика в письме
Teacher :It’s time to make a trip to the foreign country. You see, when you are going abroad you must fill in your application forms. Please, take the forms and write down your name, surname, age, nationality and address. (Напомнить написание адреса)

5.1 Teacher: Look at the screen. Read the phrases to make a conversation. Write these phrases in right order.(Приложение 1)
5.2 Work in pairs with the dialogues
Teacher: Your home task was to make up short dialogues on the following topics: at the airport, at the railroad station, at the hotel. Let s listen to your dialogues. ( checking up the dialogues)

Teacher: Now we are going to visit a foreign country Thailand. Listen to the text аnd watch the film then be ready to answer the following questions

Teacher: Today we have talked about different ways of travelling, made up the dialogues, watched the film about Thailand, you have written a sinquane poem.

Thailand
Hello, People of Thailand!
Whatever country we come from, whatever colour our skin is, we all have one thing in common: we are all people of the world.
Thailand is a beautiful country with a rich culture, just south of China. People call it “the jewel of south-east Asia” for a good reason. Its tropical climate, white sandy beaches and ancient temples make it a perfect holiday destination. What makes it really special, though, is its people.
Thai people are good-looking. They are short with delicate features. They have got black hair, dark eyes and light brown skin. The Thais are friendly people who are well known for being ' generous and kind. “We are a happy people who have strong wills and are especially proud of our history,” says Kasem from Bangkok.
Most people in Thailand live in villages. A typical Thai village consists of wooden houses, a school and a Buddhist temple. Most of the people in the villages are farmers and fishermen. The men usually work in the fields or catch fish in the rivers, and the women plant the crops.
Family life is very important in Thailand, and families often eat together. Thai food is very spicy and includes curries, fish, seafood, soups and noodles. “We eat rice with our meals and use a lot of strong spices in our cooking,” explains Kasem.
Thai people love to enjoy themselves. Popular free-time activities include Thai boxing and watching traditional dance shows. Thais also celebrate many festivals throughout the year. “My favourite holiday is Surin, in November, when we always have elephant football matches,” says Kasem.
Thailand is a wonderful country. Its fascinating sights, rich cultural history and warm-hearted people make it unique.
